These terms govern your use of the anterBox Smart Home Alexa skill (“the Skill”). By linking the Skill to your Amazon Alexa account, you agree to these terms.
Who provides this service
The Skill is provided by anterBox, an entity registered in India. Contact: info@anterbox.com.
Eligibility
You may use the Skill only if:
- You have an active anterBox account.
- You have legal authority to link your Amazon account to your anterBox account.
- You are at least 18 years of age, or using the Skill with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
What the Skill does
The Skill allows you to control your anterBox smart-home devices — lights, dimmers, curtains, blinds, locks, scenes, and similar — through Amazon Alexa voice commands. The Skill is an interface to your existing anterBox installation; it does not provide the underlying smart-home hardware or services, which are governed by your separate anterBox installation and service agreement.
Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the Skill lawfully and only for your own devices or those you are authorized to control.
- Keep your anterBox login credentials confidential. You are responsible for actions taken under your account.
- Not attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Skill or its underlying services.
- Not use the Skill to control devices in a manner that endangers safety (for example, repeatedly operating motorized gates, locks, or curtains in ways that could cause injury or property damage).
Service availability
The Skill depends on third-party services (Amazon Alexa, Google Firebase, Amazon Web Services, and your anterBox edge device’s internet connection). We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Voice commands may fail or be delayed due to network conditions, service outages, or device-side issues. The Skill is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.
Critical-use disclaimer
The Skill is intended for convenience, not life-safety or security-critical use. Do not rely on the Skill alone for situations where failure could result in property damage, personal injury, or security compromise — for example, as the sole means of locking doors, securing premises, or operating heating/cooling in extreme weather. Always maintain a primary, non-voice means of control for critical devices.
No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, anterBox disclaims all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms limits warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, anterBox is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Skill, including loss of data, property damage, or inconvenience caused by service interruptions or failed voice commands. Our total liability arising from your use of the Skill is limited to the amount you have paid us for the Skill (which, for the Skill itself, is zero — the Skill is provided free of charge as part of your existing anterBox service).
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Skill if you breach these terms, if your anterBox account is closed, or for legitimate operational reasons. You may unlink the Skill at any time from your Alexa app.

Amazon, Alexa, Echo, and Echo Dot are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. anterBox is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon.
Changes to the Skill or these terms
We may modify the Skill or these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Skill after a change constitutes acceptance.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the Skill is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ludhiana, Punjab. Nothing in this clause limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under the laws of the country where you reside.
